The iPhone 11 line launched in September 2019 across three models: the base iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Pro, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max. All three use the A13 Bionic chip and all three are still running current iOS. Each model has its own model identifier and its own IPSW — you must match the right file to your exact device before attempting a restore.
Quick answer: all three iPhone 11 models currently run iOS 26.6.1 (build 23G83), the latest signed release. iOS 26.6 (23G71) is also still signed.

How to Restore an iPhone 11 with an IPSW
Back up your device, turn off Find My, connect to a Mac or PC with a Lightning cable, and in Finder, the Apple Devices app, or iTunes hold Option (Mac) or Shift (Windows) and click Restore, then select the IPSW for your exact identifier. All three iPhone 11 models use a Lightning connector.
iPhone 11 and iOS 27
The A13 Bionic has supported every iOS release since iOS 13. Whether A13 devices receive the next major release depends on Apple’s cutoff, announced at WWDC.
iPhone 11 vs iPhone 12
The iPhone 12 (A14 Bionic) succeeded the 11 and added 5G and a new mini form factor. Both generations currently run the same iOS 26.6.1 release. Firmware is never shared between generations.

iPhone 11 Firmware FAQ
What are the iPhone 11 model identifiers?
iPhone 11 is iPhone12,1, iPhone 11 Pro is iPhone12,3, and iPhone 11 Pro Max is iPhone12,5. The identifiers are not sequential because iPhone12,8 belongs to the iPhone SE (2020), which shares the A13 chip.
What is the latest iOS version for iPhone 11?
All three iPhone 11 models run iOS 26.6.1 (build 23G83), the current signed release. iOS 26.6 (23G71) is also still signed.
Do all iPhone 11 models use the same firmware?
No. Each model has its own IPSW tied to its identifier. An iPhone 11 IPSW will not restore an iPhone 11 Pro.
What chip does the iPhone 11 use?
All three iPhone 11 models use the A13 Bionic. The same chip is also in the iPhone SE (2020), with a different identifier.
Why is there no iPhone12,2 or iPhone12,4?
Apple does not always use every number in a range. The identifiers in use are iPhone12,1, iPhone12,3, iPhone12,5, and iPhone12,8.
Can I downgrade my iPhone 11 to an older iOS version?
Only to a build Apple is still signing.
Does the iPhone 11 use Lightning or USB-C?
All three iPhone 11 models use Lightning. USB-C did not arrive on iPhones until the iPhone 15 lineup.
Will the iPhone 11 get iOS 27?
Not confirmed. Apple has not announced the supported device list for the next major release.
